Welcome to the
Selsey Model Boat Club
Selsey Model Boat Club members sail at the East Beach Pond in Selsey, 8 miles south
of Chichester). We operate radio controlled models, electric and sail powered, scale and racing types.
We sail from 10.00am to 12.30 on Sunday and Wednesdays.
Racing is held on the second Sunday of the month. The yachts that we race are Thunder Tiger Victorias,
the electric speedboat we race is called Scamp, designed by Brian N Taylor and are built from
published plans.
New members are always welcome, if you are interested come along to one of our sessions
and meet members and their boats on the pond. You may get the chance to steer or sail
one of our craft and see if radio controlled model boating is for you.
The East Beach car park is adjacent to the pond and parking is currently 70 p for 1 hour or £2.20 for all day. (Until 6.00 pm) These prices are applicable from the 1st April until the 31st October.
The winter months are free.
